How Do You React When Someone Says, “I Have Cancer”

Stan Goldberg, PhD

11/12/14  I’ve been called “courageous” and a “survivor” for battling my cancer for 12 years. I take the compliments as compassionate thoughts, but do they reflect what I and other people living with cancer feel? The article I wrote on how to respond when someone says they have cancer is still the most visited article on my website.

Because of it’s popularity I wrote “I HAVE CANCER” 48 THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU HEAR THE WORDS. It is now available from all major online booksellers for $3.99.

Preventing Senior Moments, by Stan Goldberg

A novel about guilt, forgiveness, and what it takes to die at peace with the life you lived.
